Reforestation, forestry actions and environmental restoration

The experimental plantations scattered through the Cantabrian coast allow us to select the species, origins, families and clones that adapt better to the environment to be reforested.

In each reforestation, we carry out a previous research to optimize the actions, minimize the impact and achieve the ultimate goal to obtain an appropriate forest mass for its surroundings. To carry this out, we use different manual and mechanical means in different reforestation stages: vegetation treatment, land preparation, plantation and auxiliary tasks including the closing or construction of forest tracks.

The forestry actions we carry out have two main goals: the optimization of the mass growth and the prevention of forest fires. The tasks we carry out include the selection of buds, pruning, construction and maintenance of tracks and firebreaks, clearing of bushes through mechanical and manual methods, etc.

We have been authorized to apply phytosanitary products with license n. 06-3900036-02-SP by the Ministry of Rural Development, Cattle Farming, Fishing and Biodiversity of the Government of Cantabria.

Also, we prune and cut dangerous woodland in urban surroundings in order to protect people and goods.

Another branch of our activity is the restoration of degraded areas, including cleaning, planting and construction of recreational areas in natural environments and parks in urban surroundings.
