Introduction

Sniace biofuel division was founded in 2001 with the aim of developing biofuels obtained from the vegetable biomass in its widest sense. Therefore, it started an activity that today has materialized in three projects to introduce more than 400,000 tonnes of bioethanol a year in Europe and a portfolio of other different projects that are currently in the research phase.

With the launch of these plants, the Sniace Group through its affiliate Green Source wants to become one of the leaders in the production of first and second-generation biofuels in the European market, contributing in this way to the development of sustainable energy through the introduction of biofuels in the market and the reduction of the dependency on fossil fuels, favouring the reduction of emissions and fulfilling our commitment to our shareholders to raise the value of their shares.

The division has a strong will to grow in the incipient biofuel market working in its consolidation and strengthening. The directors in charge participate actively in product development and innovation  as well as contributing with their knowledge to the different associations and project teams that pursue the optimization of the production systems and their posterior implementation in the fuel market.
